FIRST IMPRESSIONS

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Today, we had an activity in our fourth period, we played  a game called the "First Impressions". It was pretty fun. It's basically also an ice-breaker in which people write their first impressions of each other on a large paper taped to their backs. So I know right, some of us might get the gist of what some girls in my class might have reacted to some of their first impressions.

So when I think about my first impressions, they don't really last. That's in my case. But Whoa to the ones that do last long, because these are the people who have observed these different kinds of attitudes for so long in other people. In my paper, I saw a bunch of played-safe adjectives, (I won't mention them coz they're kind of awkward) but there was one irritating adjective that struck me most, and that was the word "UNAPPROACHABLE". Everything, you can write in everything else, but this word here? Uhhhh.... Really?! Am I that unapproachable for you. And the most awkward part is; is that I know the person who wrote that word. Well, I probably mention that he's gay and I know these types of people will tend to be more prank at certain times, (and I admire that spunk).

But anyways... The main part, I haven't mentioned yet. You see, I used to have this 'BFF' who I got into a conflict with and the result: not hanging out with each other anymore, and I kinda wanted to be sports with her. So I wrote in something very positive and something very obvious for her to figure out who wrote that single adjective. But something unexpected happened before that happened. A great friend of mine came to have a seat near to me, AND OH MY GOSH, you can't believe what thing I just saw. MY 'ex-friend' showed a face to one of her friends and that signalled me that they were backstabbing my great friend. So I got insulted in her place and that really got me down, SOOO bad.

Lesson here is, first impressions don't last, well, for me that is. But if it works for you, then good for you (with all sincerity). I just hope that friend of mine learns to stay in her own territory. :)))
